GREENLEAF – Charles E. Justis, 64, died October 3, 2007. He was born November 11, 1942 in Topeka, KS to Frank Kenneth and Ruth C. (Harder) Justis. Charlie grew up in Frankfort, KS until the 6th grade when they moved to Hanover. He graduated from the Hanover High School in 1960 and joined the US Navy in 1960. He served aboard the USS Coral Sea as an Electrical Technician. After being discharged from the Navy, he worked as a brakeman for Burlington Northern, Lincoln, NE and then drove for Koch Truck Line for many years. In his spare time Charles enjoyed fishing, waterskiing, and sports. On August 21, 1965 he united in marriage to Leila Bledsoe at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Greenleaf. She survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Ann Justis and husband Quentine Roberson, Marysville; and 5 grandchildren The funeral service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Ward Funeral Home in Greenleaf. Pastor Randy Jellison-Knock will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenleaf City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Friday, October 5, at the funeral home in Greenleaf. A memorial has been established and will be designated by the family at a later time. Ward Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
