Edward William Nutsch, 81, died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Cedarwood Assisted Living in Fairbury, NE. Ed was born on May 14, 1925 at Morrowville, KS to Albert P. and Gertrude C. (Krischke) Nutsch. Ed served with the US Navy during WWII and was engaged in farming. Ed was a member of the American Legion and was a member of the Millcreek Township. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family. On November 23, 1968 he was united in marriage to Betty L. Hiltgen at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Washington. Betty preceded him in death on April 28, 2006. He was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Roberts. He is survived by son, Donn Roberts and wife Paulette, Mabeltown, GA; a sister, Helen Oliver, Clay Center; three brothers, Francis and wife Loretta, Washington, Harold and wife Winifred, Morrowville, Charles and wife Arlyss, Olathe; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral service for Edward will be at 10:00 am, Monday, September 24, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Washington. Father James Hoover and Sister Marilyn Wall will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Morrowville. Visitation will be at the church, Sunday, September 23, 5 to 7 pm with a vigil service at 7 A memorial fund has been established and will be designated by the family at a later date.
