Mrs. Blanche F. Nagel, 94, Washington,died September 19, 2007, at the Homestead Nursing Home in Washington, KS. She was born May 14, 1913, in Brunswick NE, the daughter of William and Emma (Sevrean) Schultze. Blanche was united in marriage to Henry Nagel on January 7, 1936 in Page, NE, moving to a farm near Orchard, NE which they farmed for several years. In 1948 they became residents of Washington where Blanche was a homemaker and an assistant to her husband in his Chiropractic practice. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the United Methodist Women, and several social clubs. Blanche enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband who preceded her in death on March 17, 1997. Survivors include daughter Deanne Lull and husband Ron, of Salina; son Randy Nagel and companion Mary Hillmon of Tucson, AZ: two grandchildren, Steven Lull and wife, Janelle, of Broken Arrow, OK; and Judi Waliczek and husband John, of Pflugerville, TX; and two great grandchildren, Samantha and Bryan Lull of Broken Arrow, OK. The funeral will be 2:30 pm, Saturday, September 22, at the United Methodist Church, Washington. Pastor Randy Jellison-Knock will officiate. Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 pm until service time at the church. A memorial fund has been designated to the Washington United Methodist Church or the Homestead Nursing Home Ward Funeral Home, Washington, is handling the arrangements.
