Arthur T. “Ted” Stoker, 67, died Tuesday, September 4 at the Mercy Health Center, Manhattan, KS. He was born at Clay Center, to Russell and Violet (Mitler) Stoker on November 9, 1939. He grew up on a farm near Morrowville and graduated from the Morrowville High School in 1957. Mr. Stoker was a farmer and worked for the Morrowville Elevator until it closed, then worked for the Washington Elevator until he retired after 35 plus years. Ted enjoyed the computer, traveling, camping and being with his grandchildren. Ted was united in marriage to Twila Zenger on January 16, 1959 in Washington. She survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Lori Huber and husband Charles, Morrowville; a son, Larry Stoker, Morrowville; two grandchildren; a brother Charles, Morrowville; and a sister Linda Vytlacil, Rapid City, SD. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; a son Jay Dean Stoker on August 5, 1985; and a brother Richard Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Friday, September 7, 2007 at the Ward Funeral Home, Washington. Visitation will be Thursday at 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Morrowville Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date.
