WASHINGTON – Irma M. Loges, 81, of Washington, passed away July 13, 2007, at the Hanover Hospital in Hanover, Kansas. A graveside funeral service was held at 10:30 p.m., Monday, July 16, at the Washington City Cemetery in Washington, Kansas. The Rev. Paul Hutchison officiated. Burial was in the Washington City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gordon Loges, Jim Lohmeyer, Kirk Loges, Meyler Gibbs, Lonnie Sawin and Joe Ochoa. Visitation was held Sunday, July 15, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Washington. Irma was born October 22, 1925 near Hollenberg, Kansas, the daughter of Victor and Anna Eddleman. She graduated as the class valedictorian of Hollenberg High School. She worked for Earl May’s in Shenandoah, Iowa for few years before moving to Fairbury, Nebraska and working for the U.S. Government Farm Services, and later in the Census Bureau. On November 3, 1965, she married Orville Loges at Fairbury, Nebraska. Together, they lived north-east of Washington, where she helped Orville with farming. In 1999 they moved into Washington. She enjoyed flower gardening and crossword puzzles. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington and Modern Pioneers. Survivors include her husband, Orville Loges of the home. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Verlin and Gerald Eddleman; and two sisters, Agatha Chase and one infant sister.
