Loretta D. Koss

Loretta D. Koss, 86, of Lindsborg, KS, died Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Kay Pogue Hospice Center in Salina, KS. A funeral service was at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 29 at Ward Funeral Home. Pastor John Frey officiated. Sheila Ouellette accompanied Dr. James Smart as he sang, "In the Garden" and "Amazing Grace." Burial was in the Greenleaf City Cemetery. Pallbearers were family and friends. Loretta was born January 18, 1925 at Norwood, Ohio, the daughter of Samuel and Ginevra (Florea) Jenner. She enjoyed growing up with her siblings in the Cincinnati, Ohio region. In July of 1944 she married Frank Koss. Loretta expressed herself through her passion of artwork. She was a giving person and helped many people during her lifetime. She was a member of the Washington Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; and two sisters, Mary and Charlene. Survivors include her three sons, Duane Koss, Fort Sumner, NM, Francis (Geri) Koss, Sioux Falls, SD, and Ronald (Delilah) Koss, Lindsborg, KS; one brother, Wayne Jenner; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established to the Washington Christian Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
