Short Kirkpatrick

Carol "Short" D. Kirkpatrick, 68, of Haddam, KS, died Sunday at Belleville, KS. A graveside funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14 at the Haddam Cemetery. The Rev. John Lewis officiated. Short was born April 11, 1943 at Guiderock, Nebraska to Nigal and Margaret (West) Kirkpatrick. He worked oil fields in Wyoming, did custom harvesting and welded for a trailer manufacturing company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Geary Kirkpatrick; sister, O’Leta Nutsch; and nephew, Dean Nutsch. Survivors include his children, Timothy Kirkpatrick and Kelley Crook, both of Blue Rapids, Candy Kirkpatrick, Sunray, TX, Tina Annunziato, Guymon, OK, Nigal Kirkpatrick, Alabama; many grandchildren; and brother, Dwight (Margie) Kirkpatrick, Grove, OK; and nieces and nephews. A memorial fund has been established to Meadowlark Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home.
