Rose Knedlik

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. July 2, at the Ward Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Washington City Cemetery. Rose E. Knedlik, age 101, of Austin, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Christopher House of natural causes. Rose was born on April 7th, 1909, to the late Thomas C. and Catharine Hora in Kansas. She married Wilbert Knedlik in Washington County, Kansas on September 8, 1931. She was a homemaker for many years and also worked as a surgical nurse while raising their son. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and always cared for others. She was predeceased in death by her nine siblings, husband, Wilbert Knedlik; son, Donald Knedlik; and daughter-in-law, Charlsie Knedlik. Rose is survived by one granddaughter, Sabrina Nobles; two grandsons, Keith Knedlik and wife, Lauri of Buda and Scott Knedlik and wife Nancy, of Manchaca and four great-grandchildren, Brittany, Abby, Blake and Devin Knedlik.
